Position Summary:

T he Summer Leadership Development Program p r o v i d e s CVS interns t he o p p o rt u n i t y t o build their business accumen and leadership skills through a variety of hands-on experiences with leaders in the Washington DC Market . Experiences include:

  • Explore different facets of Community Pharmacy, including history, innovation, and national influence
  • Build your desired career path with a mentor from our Field Leadership Team
  • Gain key learning experiences in unique locations including Pennsylvania Avenue and Dupont Circle
  • Learn what it's like to be a pharmacist working in the Pentagon
  • Interact with other students from across the country as you visit iconic location during your time in-market
  • Network with Market Leaders and attend educational seminars focused on how to lead others

Required Qualifications:
  • Willing to relocate for the Summer Internship for the duration of the program = 6 weeks (travel to market unfunded, housing may be available)
  • Strong retail/community experience and post grad desire to work in community pharmacy
  • Enrolled in Pharmacy school in good academic standing and be currently in their P2 year (Graduate in 2019)
  • Available full time for the duration of the Summer program
  • They must be self motivated and able to present experiences/projects to peers, leaders, and management
  • Hold current intern license or be licensed in the state where they will practice (can be obtained after acceptance into the program)

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Interested in relocating post grad to the Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia Market

    Accepted into or actively enrolled in a AACP accredited college or school of pharmacy
